Part II of our series for home sellers continues with an inside look at what happens, from the time you sign a listing agreement, including how homeowners can maximize the potential of their home sale. A fun, no pressure way to become more informed and ask questions, especially in the unusual market we are in right now in West Central Minnesota. Karen Zell of Homes and Lakeshore / Keller Williams Realty Professionals is the upbeat presenter for this new online series to demystify both the selling and buying process. Includes free local Moving Guide with registration.

We had so much fun sharing with the community in our first webinar (“Things to Know When You Are Thinking About Selling”), we are continuing on with “What to Expect After Listing Your Home For Sale”. This webinar is on Thursday May 20th at 5:30 pm Central Time via Zoom, covering everything from the listing agreement all the way through closing, There is no cost for the webinar.

“Homeowners are a big part of their own home sale success,” says Zell. “Once we submit a listing to the Multiple Listing Service and other marketing sites, your home will be seen by a wide audience.”

Zell will dig into what listing means for homeowners, including:

  • What does “listing your home” mean?
  • A discussion of prelisting- the tasks owners and realtors each take on between signing a listing agreement and publishing your home for sale
  • Keeping a clean and clutter free home
  • How to vacate for a showing on short notice for showings
  • People in your house and COVID-19 concerns
  • How a good realtor follows up while your property is for sale
  • What if your home does not sell right away?
  • Negotiating offers
  • The closing process
  • The final steps, including vacating the home

Karen Zell and Tom Verhelst

There will also be a Q & A session after the presentation where participants on Zoom can submit questions to be answered by Karen Zell and husband Tom Verhelst, a broker and top sales agent with Keller Williams Realty Professionals.

“If a home is priced appropriately, the selling process is shorter right now due to increased demand,” says Verhelst. “However, being prepared will help home sellers alleviate some stress during the process while maximizing their home’s potential.”
