Are you looking for an easy way to become more informed about the home selling process in West Central Minnesota? Karen Zell of Homes and Lakeshore / Keller Williams Realty Professionals has a new online series to demystify both the selling and buying process.

The first webinar, “Things to Know When You Are Thinking About Selling,” is scheduled for April 13, 2021 at 5:30 pm Central Time via Zoom. There is no cost for the webinar.
“We wanted to provide a way for homeowners to be more informed about the selling process and maximize their home’s potential,” Zell said. “It is a chance to learn and ask questions about the steps to take while you are considering selling your home, all the way through publishing the listing.”
Zell says she started the series as free, in-person community education seminars, but with so many people still working from home, the presentations have moved online to approach a larger audience in a COVID-19 safe manner.
The selling process will be covered in two webinars. Part I, “Things to Know When You Are Thinking About Selling,” will touch on the current real estate market and focus on preparing your home to sell.
Zell, who is also a professional home stager, says one of the biggest obstacles is people often have too much stuff.
“Since selling also means you are planning to move, we’ll talk about strategies to reduce clutter and stage your home and optimize your return,” said Zell.
Other topics covered include what determines a home value, factors in setting a selling price, and all the steps from hiring an agent to when your listing goes live.
Part II, coming up in May, will cover what sellers can expect when their home is actively for sale, all the way through closing. This includes showing your home for sale, the different types of home inspections, appraisal vs assessed value, reviewing offers, different types of financing your buyer may have, title work and closing.
